Soulrecordings by Jason Miller : A Dream Diary

November 2nd, 2008

I had a dream in the time just before waking up 5:45am Sunday morning in which my dad carried me a slick-skinned though shortly fuzzy creature to hold. This little feller was enormously obese but looked perfectly happy and in good health. I slowly stroked him repeatedly as I wondered if he was in danger of dying due to his extra abundance of blubber, but thought that maybe he was a kind of animal that was suppose to have extra weight in a way similar to a Seal, Beluga, or a Manatee. I continued to hold this thin-skinned creature so fat he seemed about to explode. The last and only thing I remember my father saying in the dream was that the creature I was holding made grapes. I always, until that point, thought that grapes were a fruit grown as most fruit is grown, but now I know that there is a secret creature that really makes the grapes. I am glad such a friendly one is in charge of producing grapes.

I dreamt that I had an injured Barn Owl that I was trying to nurse back to health in order to release back into the wild. Somehow I neglected the creature and noticed for an extended period of time all the while I knew in my mind that I needed to check on her and feed her. When I finally did check on her I noticed she looked sickly and needed to see a veterinarian immediately. As I picked her up to put in a small carrying box two of her claws fell off her and laid behind in the place where she sat. When I got to the vet and expressed much urgency to the receptionist that the owl needed medical attention I was continuously told that not doctor was available and to wait. No doctor ever came and so I returned home with the owl and with a sad feeling inside. Another month went by and again I forgot to take care of her. I returned to the doctor with her and still no one would see her. She stayed in the small box barely alive.
